Christmas Twist

My Front Door Decorated for Christmas

It's beginning to feel a lot like Christmas at my house.  The first weekend of December always marks the start of the festive season at our place.  The tree is up and the house has been transformed into a Christmas wonderland for the kids.  This year I decided to shun the wreath and instead selected a lovely pair of white angel wings for the front door.

  1. I think that is a great idea. I have made the traditional wreaths but ended hanging them in the house. I have 2 sets of angel wings that I found last year in a charity shop. I have tried several place in the house(over the fire place) etc but it just wasn't working. Now I know what I will do with them - one on the front door, one on the back door. Thanks Joc

  2. Your wings look stunning, I have a pair also that I normally attach to my old mannequin but when I got them out of storage this year, I noticed that they have lost a lot of feathers hence I will not be using them this year.

Also re displaying them on the front door, I think that your weather conditions are better than ours as here it is wet and cold unlike sunny Sydney.
