New Zealand How I've Missed You

It has been an age since I logged onto New Zealand House & Garden for my monthly fix of trans tasman beauties. Just look at what I have been missing! The first image of the bathroom with stone walls almost jolted me out of my chair. Those New Zealanders really do know how to put personality in their homes.

Austalia's First Lady of Style

Australia's Governor General Quentin Bruce is our answer to Jackie Kennedy. Ms Bryce is always so impeccably turned out, she is the epitome of style and a lesson to all of us on growing old gracefully. I know this post is completely unrelated to interiors but I have a massive girl crush and couldn't resist sharing some pictures. I once met Ms Bryce at a gallery opening when she was the then Governor of Queensland. I can attest that she is charming in every way. A true role model, not only was she the first female to be admitted into the Bar in Queensland she went on to have a successful career as a human rights lawyer and advocate for woman. All the while maintain a marriage and raising a family.

Boat Moared off Palm Beach

For the Queens Birthday long weekend we headed up to Palm Beach, staying at the enchanting Honiara House. I adored the eclectic mix of furniture used to decorate the house however the stylist in me couldn't help but re arrange a few of the rooms. The owner sent me a lovely email letting me know she was going to keep the items that way in the future. Whilst up on the Barrenjoey Peninsular I couldn't help but make numerous visits to my favourite breakfast spot "The Boat House". Perched on the jetty situated on the Pittwater Side of Palm Beach The Boathouse is the ideal spot to enjoy a perfect winter day.

Evolve Awards

Custom Rug Designed by Greg Natale

Just a quick reminder to all designers entering the Evolve competition run by Designer Rugs that entries close on the 30th of June. Between all the projects I'm juggling and being a new mum I am struggling to find the time to sit down and sketch my design. The concept is in my head but will I get it down on paper in time?

Palmy Paradise

After a hectic few weeks I'm packing the family up and heading off to Palm Beach for the long weekend. These images are of "Rockridge" my favourite house in the area. Unfortunayely this is not where were staying, though we have hired an equally charming timber and sandstone weekender. I can't wait to spend some much need downtime with my two special boys. Stay tuned for lots more pretty pics of the peninsular.

Dangar Island Dreaming

While trolling the internet for a holiday cottage to rent this coming long weekend I came across this beauty on Dangar Island. The Island is situated in the middle of the hawskburry river one hour north of sydney's CBD. This charming little community is accessible via ferry or water taxi and no cars are allowed on the island. The locals use wheelborrows to cart supplies around (isn't that cute).

Unfortuantley this lovely cottage is not a holiday rental but it could be yours permanently. It's currently for sale for a very reasonable $797000, reasonable for Sydney anyway.
