I just love Christmas and I'm counting down the days until the 1st of December so I can style my home with all my favourite Christmas decorations. With the weather in Australia being so hot around this time of year I tend to stick to a cool colour scheme of white and silver as my base, adding in a different colour each year. 2oo9 will be white, silver and navy blue. The December issue of New Zealand House and Garden has images of this lovely home above all decked out for a Christmas feast. The combination of rusted urns and crisp glass wear suits the juxtaposed design through out the home. One again those cleaver New Zealanders show us how it's done!

Hello from a homesick Kiwi :-) Love the photos, especially the rusty vasques. We are planning to visit NZ for a holiday and will catch up with friends and family in 2011.

* Looks like such a beautiful, wonderful "new" way for US to spend the holidays AND learn some new Christmas traditions!~~~I think Jim & I need to mull this over, regarding doing this next year. What a treat that would be!!! ~~~ And such great, NEW memories to add to our already wonderful Christmas memories for our 42 Christmas' together!!! (Well, and two APART, because of the VN & Gulf wars. And believe me, they'll ALWAYS be "TOO FRESH" in my mind and heart!)...
